Why would a city, so far in the north, be so trendy. I went there and visit ‘weekday’ one of the influential stores in Sud. Sud happens to be the creative area of the city. The place where (the magical) IT happens.
When you go to this part of the city in the morning, you won’t notice any fashion statement or artistic movements. Somewhere about twelve most of the stores are (finally) open. And then it happens, you see more and more trendy people appear. I got exited by then, I had to stay focused to catch the air an get inspired.I sat down in front of a small coffee bar, and watched the people passing by. This truly was trendy.. in a way that everybody seems to know exactly what is THE model this season. There was hardly no one missing the hints. For you information; it’s impossible to walk around without missing it; everybody looks exactly the same!?!At this moment I got disappointed. Being trendy is something I always think of in a way like being modern and being free. Free of traditions and free of stupid rules. To my idea being trendy is find your own way in fashion, experiment and inspire others.. The last thing I expected of this so called ‘trendy city’ is all people in that same cheap mondays.greatings from marije!
