I just came back from the centre of my hometown… and still enjoying the fact that I just saw our own magazine in one of the best magazineshops of Amsterdam!!! You should really go there.. and buy our magazine.. you should also buy ‘Brand New Way’ (I wrote 2 articles for that one too)About being happy I was in Arnhem last friday and made a short movie of the bienale and aspecially of the graduateshow. Enjoy the motions and pictures.Did you also enjoy the music? It was Bjork.. The diesel show I talked about earlier is not that innovative.. I knew that Holograms where used before, but my informer told me that diesel was the first to use it in a fashion show.. to bad.. Alexander McQueen already showed a dancing Kate Moss with the same technologie. Still Diesel did a very good job and the hologram was blended very nicely with the show itself, but you should really see this.greatings from marije!

Ook het ontwerp van het tafelkleed is daar geweven. Een inspirerende ervaring!

This is the intro of a dutch article from adformatie. It is about the ‘I-can’t-keep-up-counting’ magazines that are made by/about a dutch celebrity.. It’s realy too much right now and that is why Youp van ‘t Hek, a dutch comedian, will make his own glossy in order to end the trend of printed ego’s..Linda.was the magazine where it all started. This magazine named after the dutch celebrity and fouder of the mag, was based on (so called) normal woman.. what does she knows about it?! Okay it’s true that this magazine worked and still works, but it was too bad that they also produced a magazine for a footballplayer followed by a popular but serious (I still don’t get it why he cooporated) tv-presentator. To make it more crowded, (why would she else!?!) started Catherine Keyl also with her own glossy. And there are more… The glossy of Youp van ‘t Hek will be a magazine in real honesty, they make fun with the typical lifestyle topics and an ad doesn’t have to be the real ad. The article gives an example of UNOX, a brand who sells typical sausaces in a can; this could be an add in wich they will show exactly what goes in the can.I can’t wait! We work in the world of fashion, a world were a lot of creativity happens and were you can expect nothing is old-fashion. Actually a fashion show is quite old-fashion..There are lots of things happening in multi-media; by this time almost everyone knows about second life. Only making that virtual possibilities visible in a real life show can impress us now..

(by saying this I hope I get a raise;) since that’s not gonna happen I will be honest) I can understand that the effect was far more impressive when I sat there on the first row.. at least the big boss of Diesel Benelux told me he was. I watched the show after he explained what he saw and it was a anti climax for me.. Maybe I don’t know the difficulties within this technique, but I think they could have done more with it..Still, this is a very nice development, cause more and more people find out that illustration brings more life to the designs. so come on all you illustrators, work with the designers before they finished their collection, contact the technical people and make sure you’ve got the right persons on the front row.. like Diane Pernet.. At this moment the weather is awful. But I am inside, with my (I still cerise my printed..) newspaper on my lap and a cup of dr. stuart in my hand.There it was, the article, the message that says I can find typical old dutch songs on the web. So I switched on my laptop and surfed to my love for nostalgic things. When I entered the page my enthusiasm faded, but nevertheless(what was I expecting?!) I started my search, but couldn’t find anything where I could listen to!! something doesn’t work, of this whole idea was described in different media to create an anti-clymax!?!Than there was nothing left.. just go back to youtube, where I always start with the same video.. I can’t keep it for myself, so listen with me:youtube is the place where a lot happened lately.. you’ve probably already heard about Esmee Denters.. That girl really knows how to use the web and specially all the online communities.. By having enough friends, among them the right friends and those friends have to talk about you with their friends.. that’s how it goes.. I tried to make a similar movie with my webcam, I won’t bother you with that, but I realized that you really need a lot of guts before you get even close to a contract at Justin.greatings from marije!
